minchton
A few days ago there was a Tom Scott cartoon in our local paper about a research station in wellington. Do any of you know if the resource application for this station was approved.

suphew
Last I heard they were going to start the resource consent process again. One of the panel wasn't able to make it so no agreement was made, and with how the system is setup it's easier to start the process again, rather than get a non-agreement changed. It was proberly 6 months ago I heard this so I don't know what has happened since.
Warren
Not too sure what's happening now. The FNZAS added it's support for the project although we are generally concerned about the name they've chosen. Aquarium of New Zealand is just too much like The National Aquarium of New Zealand. Sounds like they've trying to piggyback off the National Aquarium in Napier... Appart from the name issue it's a great project. I'm sure they will keep us posted as new events come to light. suphew
Nice! Are you able to give us an idea what something like that would cost joe public to buy??
Tank Man
Well firstly, I can't take all the credit for this tank. It was sourced from a japanese company but some one screwed up and forgot to order it with the bottom in it  hence where I come into it . A tank of this size manufactured by us would be between $8 to 9K approximately depening on material thickness etc. Tank Man

Tank Man
Warren - I'd give you a job sweeping my work shop for extra pocket money but the temptation for you to try and slide out with one of my tanks would be too great We review the security cams every time you leave by the way
Tank Man
Oh forgot to mention too, the Wellington International Air Port is getting a nice new big fish tank as well.
