IOU1
I hunted down four albino male guppies today and bought them in a hurry  Thing is I don't have a tank ready These are my options: 1) Put them in a tank with albino swords until I set up my 250L tank for them 2) I have a filter, heater and airpump but only have a plastic tank and was wondering if the heater would burn a hole through, just thought of that now, that I could set up lined with plants and try to hunt down females to breed 3)Put them in a floating trap What do you reckon, this is only a temporary measure until my next tank is setup, and would prefer to put them in the plastic tank but wonder if it would burn a hole through. Also anyone know of any females??? My tank of 250L will look bare with only 4 males     Thanks for your help
Caryl
1. They should be OK with the swords 2. Heater shouldn't burn through the plastic. If it has suction cups the heater won't touch the plastic either 3. They won't be happy in a breeding trap
IOU1
Thanks for that, I have set up the plastic tank with the heater and the airpump and they are floating in the tank now. Can the suction caps be able to go down to where the heating element in the water is? I thought you weren't meant to do that, but maybe I was wrong. Thanks for the help, these albino guppies are great
Pawz
What water did you use to fill up the plastic tank? Pre cycled? or new? Also my suction caps or on the element part as there is no more room. Also dont forget that the albino IMO are a lot weaker than normal guppies
Caryl
The suction cups need to be at the thermostat end, not on the heating element as they will slowly disintegrate from the heat.
