Ok so here is one of the two beasties that have been given the mission of gunge removal from the new tank. Havent got round to fitting the second pump at the moment. Two skimmers becasuse I want to run one wet and one dry.

Hey it must be christmas weve got the snow and now some jolly nice man has delivered 3 sedra 9000 needlewheel pumps , two darts and some gatevalves..........only wish he had of paid the bill as well!!! Looks like its time to make the new Timtec skima go!!!!

To hell with stocking up on batteries, bread and soup, I gotta get me some more fittings and some 12mm pvc sheet before that lot comes, been talking to some mates along te foothills and they assure me its snowing again

Had a good solid day in the shed today, slowly glueing together all the pvc fittings, Pumps have been released from the revenue gatherers so will gather some speed again now. Just sitting down at laptop now and drawing out the center pillar and all the associated pipework and cables that need to be hidden in there, Aiming to have the in tank stuff all sorted and made this week, will post some pics at end of week when this is done,( assuming no more snow)

Nice work, Hopefully someone has a contact that can get you a loan of some test gear, shame to see it come this far and then sit on a shelf.Earlier talked of specs sure looked promising in terms of being a marketable device.

NO dont use this stuff, I have checked out the chemical composition and it has ingredients which are not condusive to frag growing

Hadnt seen that one, doesnt seem to be too many round ones around . All plumbing , pumping, closed loops, over flows and detrius removing!! systems will be hidden with rock work. All plumbing and most of rock formation has been drawn in Designcad so its all to scale and you know its all going to fit before you start cutting and drilling Rock is busy curing in another tank has been forabout three months now, (this will be topped up with rock from existing tank giving a total of about 280kg) Tank is going to be bare bottom allthough I am considering a resin and sand mix to lose the flat bottom look but will not be having loose living sand. Basic gear at this stage is; Entire tank is controlled by Plc Ie all pumps, lights,dosing , top up and possibly feeding. Havent quite found the right gear for cleaning auto as yet!! Ocean motions 8 way with sequence dart. All heating (2 stage) and cooling(2 stage) will be done with undersump heating wires and the cooing will be done ( if needed) with a fan initally with provision for a chiller if extra cooling is needed. All automaticaly looked after by a clever temperature controller Tunze streams and controller may be transfered from existing tank if not enough flow from closed loops. All calcium , Alkalinity and magnesium needs are being done with Randy's recipe via dosing pumps. Sump is being built as a frag grow out area also. Well best get back to it , all drilling is done time to start adding plumbing.
