  1. The auto body shop on High Street, Lower Hutt, can't remember the name right now. Go past Pak n Save towards Maccas, it's in the middle.

Fibre glass is great for building stuff but can be very messy too. Plan what you are going to do, and don't mix too large an amount at a time as it hardens quite fast.

  2. I believe the downstairs room is a rumpus.

The garage under the house, on a hill so the garage is skinner than the house ontop. My thinking is use the tiny 2m x 2m study(prison cells in bangkok are bigger, not that I know) as the place to put in the staircase. This area is above the dirt void under the house (what is this place called), but next to the tandem garage, so through a floor in through the garage wall.

    Stairs here

PS this process is like buying a car

  3. thanks for all the info. Will make an offer(mrs has decided to torture me, vegetarian until i break and make some sort of offer), will just factor the potential cost into the offer and a few conditions around inspections.

I know I can cook for myself, but my cooking is worse than vegetarian food

  4. I noticed that there are many hidden talends on this board so I thought I would ask.

The Mrs has found the house of her dreams, I like it too but.... there isn't internal access to the garage and the 3rd bedroom. I hate getting wet getting to a car. I was wondering how much would it cost to cut a hole in the floor and put in a stair case that is sort of square U shape(see diagram below)? I know it's hard to estimate without seeing the place but I was wondering are we talking a couple of thousand? $10's of thousands.

She really wants the place but I don't feel that the third bedroom counts unless I can get to it without going outside, so she sees it as a 3 bedroom house, I see it as a 2 bedroom house = issues with deciding what it's worth and me possibly in the dog box until she finds something else to focus on.

  5. They're also very hard to catch, if you consider putting one into your tank, consider it a permanent addition.

Whatever you do, do not get a black and white striped damsel aka humbug damsel. Even more of a PITA, heaps of people get them because it was cheap or given to them, there is a reason for that.

  6. I have to agree with A-town, still far from being full red, and even further away from being called a fancy guppy. I wouldn't even call them red more a dark orange, but the goal is to some day get it to full red.

:( Lost my breeders to heater failure, have a few fry from breeders and culls from past breedings

  7. That does not look full red to me :o

Sorry about the copyright, I've had a bad experience a couple weeks ago.

Not quite where I want to be, body colour isn't as intense as the tail, but its more red compared with the blonde and orange stock I started with.

Found this pic from a post I made a few years ago

  9. I've read that at a young age they will survive being introduced to saltwater 1.020sg and given enough time will even reproduce. I found this little fact in a manual for breeding marine cardinals and using guppies as live food.
