Hello , I'm new to the forum and I am working on plans to set up a 80cm 125 litre tank. I think I want to get Bolivian rams and read the like to sift through sand to eat thier food and it passes through thier gills, so sounds like sand is important. Do they like fine sand or coarse sand? I can order this online it a silica sand-1-2mm could they sift through that? There's also another black sand at animates that says its "iron" sand safe for freshwater fish- is iron sand ok? Can anyone recommend the best sand to use if those won't work?
