These foods include Courgettes, which he chomps Capsicum Cucumber lettuce peas carrot brocoli and asparagus all of these he loves! While the other fish don't tend to eat so much but they still try and eat it. I think his faves are zucchini asparagus and capsicum !!

    Fish food

So I want to make some fish food, this is for small omnivores in my tank. I've been researching and such but was wondering if anyone had a recipe? If no one does I'm thinking of using things like: peas, spinach, zucchini, paprika**, prawns, carrots. I would also add pipis and cockles but can you feed these and are they safe? **Your probably wondering why I will use this, it is because I read that it is a very good natural source of colour for fish, so I thought by feeding it to my neons and cardinals they would develop a nicer colour! Also, do mollies change colour? I have some Dalmatians and want to keep them Dalmatian!
  3. What's a good varied diet for some community fish (small tetras, mollies, and platy). I know that the diet should have a staple-flakes? Treats-prawns? Frozen worms/bbs? Supplement-Veges what kind? Anything else I should feed and what kind of flakes and treats and verges do you recommend?

    ICH HELP

So it's day 5 of treating, and no deaths so far so pretty happy about that, I have been treating wonder tonic and it works a charm! The seven day cycle will finish Tuesday, but may keep dosing a little. From now on I will try and quarantine my fish, if I have a spare tank.

    ICH HELP

What is a good medicine that will not stain the aquarium or hurt my bn? One of my tetras seems to have a few spots but still acts fine

    ICH HELP

Don't really like the idea of adding chemicals to it. I haven't and won't add salt to it, just do water changes and higher temp

    ICH HELP

None of them are coming up. The cardinal is looking more active than it was. I will be doing a water change soon, should I vacuum the gravel too? Thanks

    ICH HELP

On my other tank (The one where the cardinal is) Te temp is 30. Should I go higher than that, I think there is enough air in the water.

    ICH HELP

The water temp is already 28 so does it have to be raised or is it fine. Plus I think the turn dial on it is jammed and wont go higher/lower

  13. Anyone know any good fish stores in Wellington/Kapiti that sell Bettas? Looking for a male, but would want a female in the future for breeding. Plus is 25L sufficient for a male?
  14. Was wanting to get into breeding some crowntail bettas. Does anyone know how to breed these cool fish? Also do they sell much in NZ and normally for how much?
  15. I would only add small tetras, such as neons, cardinals and glow lights. Nothing fancy
  16. I have a Aqua One 90 Litre aquarium, I was wondering how many fish (max) could fit in it? It has a powerhead with the cartridges, and 2 18Watt each lights. It is already running and has had fish for well over 6 years. Right now I am in the process of adding plants (Anubias, Stargrass, Java moss, Java fern, Cyperus helferi, pennywort), and would like to add as many as possible to it. I currently have small fish in it, around 15 or so. What could I do to accommodate more fish, and to get healthy plants. BTW I will not add c02 to the tank. Thanks
  17. Hello! I am from Wellington, I have a 90 litre aquarium which houses tetras, platies, and some bristle-nose. I am currently planting it out, with Java moss, Java fern, Cyperus Helferi, and Stargrass.
