  1. Thanks Kinna, I have it producing bubbles now, but it is filling the collection cup up very quickly. How do you get a happy medium? How long should it take before the cup fills? Thanks
  2. Hi, I was going to put a filter temporarily on my cycling aquarium as I am worried about my sumpp tanks dubious chemical history. Would an active carbon cannister filter filter out most chemicals? Thanks
  3. Yeah, I don't think it's too bad. It's in the lounge so the telly is normally on and you can't hear it. Cheers
  4. Yes, I was thinking about getting something like this: http://www.jellyfishart.com/
  5. Thanks guys. Do TDS kits working bearing in mind there is lots of salt dissolved in the water? Would an active carbon filter, filter out chemicals?

    Jellyfish

Hi all, Anyone here keep jellyfish? Might be something I'd like to get into. Is it possible in NZ?

  13. Nice one, I shall investigate. Thanks
  14. How many hours a day do you have to run the sump pump for? I can't get the bloody thing to be quiet and don't want the pump running in the evenings. Would it be ok to run for 18 hours a day?
  15. Good idea. Would the reduced flow not stress the pump?
  16. Got this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/pets-animals/f ... 650201.htm no control to turn it down.
  17. That wasn't a good idea. The pump is way overpowered for my tank. My drain can't keep up with the amount of water coming in.
  18. Lol, sounds it worth a shot for the price. Cheers
  19. Thanks kinnadian. I like the look of yours but not keen on a noisy pump. How noisy is noisy? I know it's hard to quantify, but annoying noisy?
  20. Thanks Derby. That one is a bit pricier than I was hoping for. Would anyone recommend this one? Great price... : http://www.trademe.co.nz/home-living/ou ... 083944.htm Cheers
