Hi everyone I just want to know, do you take a fork or turn over the soil to keep it loose in your worm farm and how often (if you do) do you do it? And is it important to do it (ie does the dirt you use get so dense and hard packed that the worms do find it difficult to get to the surface to feed after a while?) Excuse the ignorance Cheers

so for constipation just try and feed them all fiber, salt the tank, and take my chances at that?

awesome thanks I have read you are supposed to bath them until they turn over (sideways) is this correct? And it can take up to 30 minutes or more...? im actually salt bathing him now in a seperate quarantine tank, ill also give all the fish some peas for fibre for the next few days

hi there please offer some help about helping my discus, he appears to be constipated, should i salt bath him or is that not ideal? and in doing so what sort of time is suggested in the salt bath, how many times a day, and waht is the proportion of water to salt? i have heard feeding peas and things, vegetation to help, i have tried feeding him that but he doesnt eat it

Hi guys I need some advice, reading a lot people say it can be constipation, or internal parasites He is not eating, and he used to eat furiously, now he comes to eat but seems uninterested in anything I drop in the tank... he also seems to hide a bit more then normal, hes normally motoring around following the clowns seeing what they dig up in the gravel I have been told to use broncit, and medicate that way, its super hard to get hold of here I have rung all the vets who have to order it in, are there other things I can do also? He is not eating so to medicate the food directly is an issue

nah, my fish will not eat the fly unless the guts and eggs are spewing out, if i dont pop the fly it just floats around on the top until i remove it once popped they go nuts for the stuff coming out

I dont know how many flies I can pop against the glass, the eggs from the fly spewed out and they were tasty treats for the smaller middle fish No way can i catch and breed fruit flies, keeping white worms is bad enough for my partner

sweet, just making sure its not going to harm my fish caught the fly, and popped it against the side of the glass (as gross as that is lol) then my crazy spanish t barb flew past and ate it whole

is it bad? my cousin did it all the time with his tropical fish and they love it/them

hi there i have heard many stories of white worm cultures committing suicide in the summer heat/months what types of things do you (if any) do to keep your white worm culture going

all i know is got a load of white worms eating up the cat food, but thousands are tiny, hardly any big fat juicy ones

ill stick them in the mini fridge and lower the temp, hopefully that will keep them going over summer

awesome advice just taking a small tiny amount off the top, there would be like 10 1 - 2 inch worms and then you can see hundreds of tiny ones its almost like i take as much interest in these white worms as i do my fish haha

ive started planting a few plants which are flourishing in the tank, the great thing about most plants is once you get one established you can easily take clippings and create more one thing i do know though is this fish game is very involved, you got to keep up with the play, i inherited one fish which has spawned a whole new hobbie

Is that because the plants will eat the nitrates, that in combination with the filter system should be enough to keep the water clean for the fish (along with regular water changes)

notice there are a few really really nice densely planted big tanks, would love to get to that point, however is it a case of you need to be real mindful of what fish you have as fish (ie plecos etc) are poo machines! thinking about how you gravel vac a tank like that otherwise?

cheers, you see so many posters on youtube about what they think their magic formula is, yet it sounds like white worms will eat most things and the important thing is the environment you keep them in just the two times i dropped the worms in there were a number of big juicy worms but looked like thousands of really micro tiny white worms falling, which thought of indicated that i should wait a bit for the population to mature? didnt stop the smaller fish going for them but the top swimmers could not even really see them
