Yeap I will post a build diary... Yeap I have long arms... I have an "Ol faithful" fishing spot out on the gulf where I can catch JDs almost constantly... Yeap, I watched this documentery years ago, and this aquarium was losing fish from there breeding tanks, just disappearing, they found out it was the octopus, at night climbing out of his tank, crossing the hall into he next room, climbing into the breeding tanks, taking the fish and returning to their own tank again... fantastic!

Hi, I am about to start a SW tank, approx 1300L in size, (1200mm W x 1600mm L x 1000mm D aboutish... ) Its not going to be made from the conventional "glass box" rather its going to be glass over ply with a large viewing window in one side, as its going to go in my garage, it doesn't need to have windows all around... just in the front and I also have a large fridge/freezer full glass door which I'm going to use for the lid... I plan on having a Johndory in it... or an octopus... Not too sure just yet. My question is: Is there anyone on here who has built a large S/W tank in the Howick area which I'm able to come and view? And is there anyone who has made their own filters/protein skimmers etc, etc... I have heaps of ideas but would like to get to grips with the build. Cheers Garry
