I see you have an aqua one? 980t?
Are you using the stock lighting or have you upgraded?
-
I got a 980t, they are loud, but I put a straw in it and seems to do the trick at reducing noise
I have honestly learnt my lesson about buying all in one tanks, the lighting isn't strong enough and unless you want to ruin the look of the all in one, you cant do much about it.
Bought mine because I prefer the curved glass over glass box. Next time I buy a tank it will be custom made

Your BN looks very happy lol

Looks fantastic!
Planted aquariums are so nice

Thats a great website!
I saw some of these at the beach the other weekend, http://home.xtra.co.nz/hosts/fishguide/ ... ckfish.htm
Ugly little things. I wander how they survive out of water for so long, as the are under rocks

Henward must have a comment about the lights?? :sml1:

Well when your catching fish you measure from tip of head to the inside of the V on its tail

So sintered glass is better than ceramic?

Hi
I have a trickle filter system, and was wandering what would the best media to put into it. At the moment, it has a cartridge with filterwool and carbon, a black sponge under that, and then ceramic noodles under that.
Would I be better off to replace the carbon cartridge with more noodles? It is a planted aquarium.

it does sound comprehensive.
what bracing does the frame have?
what is most important with a timber stand for a tank that size is bracing. As the timber will be strong enough for the vertical transfer of the weight you really need to make sure there is no chance of the stand twisting. It needs 90x45 bracing to create triangle shapes in the frame connecting the back row to the front row and ends to centre.
here's a pic of what i mean
Haha thats awesome!
Who needs a naughty corner, when u have a fish tank

Silicone turning black...
in Freshwater
Posted
Hi guys!
So the silicone on my tank started to get black patches all over it and it sort of looks like mould but black. It cannot be scraped off.
Does anyone know what the cause of this is, and how I can fix?
