  1. Whistling Tree Frog: Found in most of New Zealand can withstand low temps.

Golden Bell Frog: Found in top half of the north island prefers higher temps.

Southern Bell Frog: Found in most of New Zealand i think.

If your looking for a climbing frog get a whistler.

If your looking for a colourful frog get a golden (no warts) or a sothern (warts and green line down centre of back).

    Enjoy

  2. Anyone got any ideas on judging a species at tadpole stage got about 100 in a big storage container and have studied them for ages, the pond i collected them from was in waitarere (north island sorry) and when i was getting them i also caught a one eyed whistler which i have now named Tahi but these tadpoles look more like golden bells or southern bells because they seem to be quite large and have a slight greenish tinge to them and tiny gold dots on there body no legs yet but also no deaths i guess i could just use the patience stratedgy but any other ideas?

  3. So all u need for them (not detailed but) is a large terrarium with alot of ventilation

+ i got my dad a neon tetra tank he loves it he thinking bout going full scale and getting a big tropical tank but that will be in the future so far no progress with frogs but im going to my beach place this weekend which has frogs and tadpoles in a pond nearby i will have a look out for some healthy ones and maybe an albino (hopeful but unlikely). :D wish me luck
