  1. Got some pretty neat duboisi a couple of weeks ago from Animates. Little under weight and un-coloured but they seem okay now that they're on spectrum (Thanks to Luke aka A-town for the massive discount on the dub's).

    Anyone else keeping them?

  2. Don't bother with the siamese, but more fish will be fine.

Waterchanges are dependant on stock and feeding. I would just stick with a static 30%. I wouldn't bother at this point about exacts. Just keep in mind Waterchanges are to remove waste product. You don't want your fish living in too much of their waste.

I'd use, or at least have water conditioner unless get your own water. Just in case your tap water make up is changed.

  3. Thanks guys - he was from Hollywood last weekend. Quite an aggressive little fella though. Has anyone had a spawn where a few of the babies have either one or both eyes missing? Found a few in mine and not sure whether to cull them now or let them keep growing :-?

Up to you, probably wouldn't make a huge difference if you let them grow up.

If worried I'd cull, otherwise see what happens.

  4. I would wait over the weekend, if nothing has been changed contact the school and request for them to sort it out. Also ask what mark your son has received according to their database. It could be a typo, or a slack teacher. I wont worry too much about it, it can be changed. I believe the deadline would be nearing January, when the results are sent to the school so they can sort out potential time tables and all that good jazz for the students.

  5. Leave it in there for a couple of weeks, or a month if you're uncertain. Oxygen is usually fine in your tank unless it's overstocked, albeit I'm sure your levels should be fine if there was water movement on the surface. Ph problems might fluctuate depending on your tap water, it could be high from the tap, but drop down after some time.

Did the LFS show you or tell you what your Ammonia and Nitrite levels were?

Edit: DavidR, link was good laughs.
