Hi guys. Wondering what incubators you have used and found the best and have had successful hatches out of?
Thinking of trying out a different one to the one I have. Juragon RX.
-
The yellow/orange one on the rock not the tetras.
-
So I don't need to worry? I don't want them to die or get egg bound
-
:yaw1: still waiting ... when should I start worrying?
-
put mealworms in a dish
My leopards don't seem to eat them from the dish, they only seem to eat them when I drop them from a height in front of them.
-
I use it too for all my leopards. Big or small the only problem is mealworms as they crawl into it as soon as they can.
Its usually around $20 a metre I think. But is quite wide.

Looking good! I dream to have something like this one day. Whats in the end cages?
-
fingers x'd for you, but they remind of the many clutches i had that nothing much ever came of.
they are dented in the photo eh? or am i just seeing things ..
Yeah lets hope. Yeah some of them are. This is the third clutch shes laid and this lot has looked the best, maybe because I removed her from the tank :dunno: The other two clutches were no good. I also think maybe the male is not doing his job right either lol. Got a new male last week so hopefully if this doesn't turn out he will have a go.
-
good eggs should be more plump, and white imo.
if dents appear after you dig them up then could just be dehydrated. add a little bit more water to container etc.
They were pretty white, I think its the sand and light that makes look different.
-
I wouldn't hold my breath on the above. Still keep them as Alan said.
Were they dented like that when you first dug them up?
Nope they weren't solid when lifting them out. They were only just laid when I was removing them.
-
I have seen better?has it been with a male at all?
Yup...all its life. But she has laid two other clutches that didn't turn out okay.
-
After a good hour of digging....
19 eggs in total! Do they look okay?
-
Scratch this post, she is laying as we speak. So far I reakon there must be around 20 eggs! Will take pics when removing to get feedback on them.
-
These tank are .700 x.500 x.500 and have four girls and one male in each ...
Where do you get your tanks reptilenutt?
-
I have four in a 1600x600x600mm heated with a ceramic heater on a thermostat and no problems.
That sounds awesome! Is it all pimped out/landscaped?
-
Potting mix usually contains fertilizers and might be best not used I think
What would be the best that you would buy from bunnings or palmers? apart from vermiculite.
-
Went out this morning and got some #1 sand seems to be working okay at the moment. For soil - is any potting mix of for beardies?
-
My female beardie is digging like crazy again! I'm thinking about putting her in another tank with just the laying medium. Whats best?
-
All three of my females have eggs!! :happy1:
But what happens if they stop eating? Offered food today but they weren't interested?
-
Anyone on here use one of these and could shed some light on a couple of questions?
1) Should the container that the eggs are in be covered / un covered / covered with holes in the top?
2) Are all incubation temps the same for ALL incubators?
Brought from this company - http://www.incubatorsnz.co.nz/webapps/i/60075/184598/315324
Thats the incubator itself.
