  1. Haha... yeah maybe... honestly thought of putting a jack dempsey in there to sort him out... but my tank will be ripped up
  2. Now! there is nothing wrong with being a bit grumpy! it happens to the best of us! .... hes a lovely fish really.... I got him from Animates about 2 - 3 years ago
  3. WOW! that is so cool! Want to come pimp my tank up? Everytime I try... my barbs decide its a buffet..... so all i can have is sword-plants I wouldn't bother about the CO2 to be honest. You dont want them to go into photoinhibition from trying to oversynthesis... the water can only hold a certain amount of oxygen (a bit of a geek here?! sorry).... but if you wanted to help growth i would get a mirrored roof and reflect t9 lights off it.
  4. Does anyone know where I could get an 8cm (ish) kissing gourami to pair up with my one. I had two, but unfortunately one of them died. He was small and weak compared to Angelina Jolie (as my friends called him) and he bullied Brad Pitt into submission. So much Brad Pitt stressed and died. I want to get him a mate, however all of the ones at the pet store are like 2-4cm and I can tell you now, that my fish is far to grumpy to deal with children-like-fish. I looked on http://www.trademe.co.nz ... but no one wants to ship them to me when I find one the right size. He needs some kissing-gourami loving, as now hes starting to attack my biggest Tiger Barb.... and its irritating me. Any help will be appreciated
  5. How many fish did you add at the same time? If it is a new tank that sudden adding off fish can cause ammonia spikes which could potentially kill all your fish? How many litres is your tank? Did you adjust the tetra into it correctly? This is done by putting a cup of your tank water in the bag before releasing them. The other possible thing maybe would be the temperature or acidity of the water. However you are adament that you did a water test. Try doing a water change (25%) taking it from the gravel set it up again, do a water test and then go back to getting more fish.
