I currently have a 160 litre community tank -fluval 4+ internal filter and aqua clear 20,the fluval has just foam in it the hob has a mixture of things(carbon,amonia remover floss etc) The fish I have in the tank at the moment arer a school of 4 neons,4 silvertip tetras,two golden zebra loches,one peper cory and 3 neon dwaf rainbow fish. Would this be my max number of fish that I could keep in there or do I have room for more. Is there an acurrate way of calculating how may fish your tank will hold? Thank you for your help

I would like to know how often to do water changes and if I should do a little alot or alot not so often. I have diy co2 and I plan to add flourish comprehensive supplement,could someone advise me on how often I should use this? are there any more nutrient supplements that could benifit my plants? what is PPMD and could this be a good idea? I will list the basic specs of my tank: 160 L running a fluval 4+ filter and an aqua clear 20. I have 78w of light 48 is from PL T5 bulbs and other is a 30w T8. some plants I have are java fern java moss (wall),hydrophilia polysperma, narrow leaf chain sword I also want to grow dwarf sag. What other plants could I grow with this light and co2? Please tell me If I am asking to many questions! Thank you in advance.

Yes I was talking about Botia histronica being with Botia striata. I have blood worm should I feed more so it reaches the ground?

My substrate is made up of quite fine gravel around 3-4mm and its rounded not sharp.At the moment I am trying them on some shrimp pellets I saw them before having a nible so it could just be like staving your children until they eat something! I will go and buy another one can golden zebras go with normal zebra loches in a group of two goldens and one normal zebra or am I best to stick with the same type? thanks for your replies.

I have recently bought two loaches. they keep going up and down the side and wont fed at all and rarely go on the substrate, is normal for newly introduced fish? Also do golden zebras eat snails? many thanks in advance.

I trieded the recipie discused when I was away for for weeks when I came back a couple of days ago the plants were pearling and had grown heaps my kribeniss had babies also and were swimming around with the little ones!

I set up tank today (40g) but I bought a "plant" bulb from redwood aquatics its a Growth Lux tube its in the right spectrum but it puts out a realy dull rosey red light and it doesnt light up much of the tank what are some good T8 tubes for plant groth that dont give out a redish light are there any? The other light I have in there are two 24w pl tubes should I place these in the front of the hood or the back for better effect? what could I use as a reflector? sorry for the subject change...

(2wpg) Thats an amazing photo! should I use one 2L bottle or two 2L bottles so when one stops making co2 I can have another one going to make up for it,or is this an overkill? thans again for all your replies
