  1. I got mine through Hollywood fishfarms, it's a fluro tube, and ment to last 6 months longer than normal uvb bulbs hope this helps
  2. Oh how long after they moult to adult form(wings) do they begin to mate?
  3. Cheers for the info repto, unfortunately where i live most of the grass would contain traces of pesticides so im limited in my options there, im going to move out the smaller ones soon and leave the full adult locusts to do their thing. TY for your help
  4. no need to be a smart alec about it repto, they were feed bok choy, cabbage, dark greens daily.
  5. My 250 locusts has been reduced to about 60 subadults in less than a week, got two full adults not mating though, i think the largest locusts have eaten around 100 or more of my small ones grrrrr. Now i need to buy some more
  6. I know people who are breeding high red dragons together and are getting good results same with high yellows, the problem we face here in nz is that we dont have enough of a particular colour dragons to create variation which is why the hatchlings end up dying soon after. IF you can get say 3-4-5 dragons of the colour your wanting breed them, then breed their hatchlings together, then hopefully you will get you desrired colour. Its all a case of genotype and phenotypes. I wish you luck and i dont think you'll have any problems starting a breeding program. Ryan
  7. jeez whats with repto and reptilenut, should i get in a marriage counselor? as LivingArt said this is a public forum for us to talk about our hobby not our differences, if i wanted to watch your pathetic little argument repto & reptilenutt i'd watch jerry springer
  8. Yea overseas they inbreed also known as incrossing to enhance and develop a certain trait then they out cross (mate with a differant male or female) to add genetic variation. That's how you get the sandfire morphs etc etc
  9. My wee guys parents were both high orange with yellow stripes, so hopefully the little guy ends up looking like his mum
  10. One day, One day. Amazing creatures, you cant go wrong with a beardie :bounce: :bounce:
