  8. oh buggar.. hes way to big for our tank we have african cichlids and they freaked out when we put him in plus seen photos of a big frontosa it had bit a electric yellow in half!!! so i couldnt risk that happening,,, when we went to pick him up he was in a gotty green slimy tank which was 3 foot if that there was a electric yellow in there to with some clown loaches,,, the big boy could hardly move....he was so skinny the old owner said that he would only feed him very second day one block of blood worms and he would disolve it before throwing it in so the poor thing didnt look good so being me i had to take him and safe him thinking he would be in a 700 litre tank heaps of space but now hes in a 4foot by him self!!!!! now hes eating 3 blocks plus some pellet !!!! hes on the mend do you know of anyone else that would be interested im keen to swap
  9. i have a rather large male frontosa that needs a new home i brought him and he was rather skinny im getting him back to good health but then cannot keep him as i feel its horrible to have him by himself!!! plus it just doesnt look right after seeing them as a colony!!!!! when i brought him he was in a 3 foot tank with an electric yellow cichlid,,, hes about 20cm would be a great addition to a frontosa colony!!!
  10. hmm ok well both my big male have no egg spots but my littler one does,,, i brought a breeding group yesterday of 4 yellows the 2 biggest ones didnt have egg spots but were hardout fighting with my 2 big boys so figured they must be male and the second to smallest which is about 7cm has a tiny egg spot and to my suprise she had 7 fry in her mouth :bounce: yippee finally a female!!!!!!! so females can have egg spots,,,, strange that when my big bright males dont but the female does........
