    Got insurance for contents the other month with a 35 thousand dollar cover is it true to claim on things like eg the TV..you have to show proof on what you paid for it a lot of our contents are second hand via garage sales and that old we didn't keep receipts when we bought the item brand new so what do we do in this case?

    I have a friend who has a VHS - DVD recorder combo couldn't transfer onto CD so getting a DVD reader - writer - use the software to pause the slide show and then picture capture the individual image and save as jpg well...that's the plan anyway have been told that I don't need special software. but just do picture capture but I don't know how to do it this way...any tips and hints? thanks

    HI all Before my dad died he put all family slides onto a VHS tape the original slides are missing today I'm getting the slide video transferred to CD ( I don't have a DVD reader on my pc ) what software can I use, since the Cd of photos will not be individual images but the photos scrolling to the next.. My aim is to convert all these images as individual jpgs..is it possible?? I am running XP thanks

    the hood is a homemade metal one with the only ventilation are the large slots at the back( 3 slots approx 3inches square ) for the heater , and filter cords there is no lid between the water level and the hood the fitting for the bulb is on the back of the hood , not the top of the hood

    thanks for that info question though.. with bayonet bulb, even energy saver bulbs..would the condensation from the water lessen the life of an energy saver bulb?? I was using just a standard 40w bayonet bulb and it only lasted 3 months - could this b cos if it being used for a tank Note..the water level is 4 inches from the water level Question what is the brand of the cool daylight model? thanks

    same tank? can these two varieties live in harmony without eating each other my wife has eyed up some different frogs since we have the two southern bell frogs - kermit and french menu thanks for all answers and advice

    In same enclosure? I guess if you can , they would have to be of similar size? Please correct me if wrong and any other advice appreciated.

    I have a hood on my tank that takes a bulb with bayonet fitting have been using a standard 75w bulb any suggestions without having to change my fitting?

    there is a branch of bondor in Auckland who make blocks of polystyrene who then makes walls for portcom and under floor insulation panels..ask them nicely

    with being cold , not many flies around ( after buying a fly trap off TM ) I bought a tub of wax worms from a local pet store our two frogs eagerly eat them up ( our frogs are french menu & Kermit ) Now I read very flattening and only for a treat What is suitable for a standard diet that I can easily breed, a single line of insect or different ones for variety?? thanks for all advice

    Hi guys I have southern bell frogs I bought a mesh fly trap...trying to figger out what is a good bait suggestion to put in the tray I bought one of those tubs of house fly larva..put in hot water cupboard for some flys to hurry up & hatch..put the tub with some holes in lid...bloody frog just sits on the tub that is in the tank & as soon as the fly flys out of a pierced hole it pounces on it..greedy bugger lol... We have named them Kermit French menu

    i have a small fountain pump jebo ap500 that has come out of a broken el cheapo lion head wall fountain my question is that compared to aquarium tank filter pumps that have the filtering medium that can be washed / replaced... ...how do these fountain pumps successfully filter the water sorry about the naive question thanks

    one of my two tadpoles have turned into a frog What can I now feed it.. can I make my own culture for flys...if so ...how Can I feed them garden worms..if so..do I put the uncut worm on the platform any suggestions appreciated currently feeding them fish food crushed pellets

    I know that this may be not " cool or wow " to a non newbie but did a count in my nursery tank ...guppy young - from a couple of days old to nearly a month old... 72 :bounce: my wife & I are having a bet on how many fry before 1st Jan 2010 My guess..110 - 120 her guess..125 - 135 loser...buys dinner

    My 3ft tank has a homemade hood with a bayonet fitting I have done a 25% water change - the water has cleared but noticed the water has a yellow tinge to it - of course not noticable with the hood light off The bulb that I put in is a clear soft tone Is there a more "white" colour bulb with a bayonet cap more suitable on the market thanks
