  1. OMG I looked at work today they are bloody shocking.... (bloody is allowed right?) I thought you guys where just anal (in context allowed right?), this is how it looks on my screen...well not that over exposed.
  2. reflections perhaps? my camera is silver its a shocker for reflections.
  3. yeah thats sweet just looks the same to me haha, well background looks the same, the fish is brighter. . I'll jump on a PC at work and have a look tomz.
  4. 37 LCD it just changes brightness based on the brightness of the room. on your screen is the fish super bright? I think its more to do with resolution than brightness.
  5. yeah, they were way worse I'm to lazy sit there and remove them all. but yeah they are hard to see on my screen.
  6. Well I got a beautiful fighter from Pupuke, but my clown loaches killed it sooo I put the clown loachs in with the Discus, and went and got another fighter, not as good looking though
  7. Haha all good, I did look at it a few times before I realised. I think your right, it was on lens and not the censor, can't see the marks on any of the other pics
  8. unfortunately I haven't had a chance to test this out. Click "All my photos" in my sig. Some long exposure city ones.
  9. Yeah windows movie maker is super easy to use, and you can do heaps of stuff in it. I have adobe after effects, and I have no idea how to use it
  10. here is another version, this time I used Photoshop to create the HDR, saved it as a .tiff then did the tone mapping in photomatix. then then did some more editing in photoshop
  11. Thanks, pretty crap photo TBH but finished product is good, haha thats all that matters Just realised my image censor is dirty again, there is 3 marks in the top left
  12. Thats with all the HDR settings to Auto, there is a whole list of things you can change just with the easy slider thingy, but this was my 1st and didn't really know what I was doing, so just left them
  13. haha its out of focus because the lens was on Manual and i didn't realise...To early in the morning for me haha.
  14. You probably need an SLR to do this but anyways. Ever wondered how people get those surreal landscapes, cause I did. Here is the process. Its a Imaging process called HDR (high dynamic range) Pretty much setup your camera on a tripod, frame your subject, and set your the exposure bracketing (AEB) in your cameras menu take 3 photos, one at correct exposure and one at over and under exposure. Note* In your cameras menu you can set the exposure bracketing (see your manual) On mine I can set from -2/+2 to around -.33/+.33 for this I was using -2/+2 so the 1st photo I look was at correct exposure, then for the 2nd the camera automatically took the photo at -2 exposer and for the 3rd +2 then load the 3 files (you can do it with 2 I believe) into a program called Photomatix, click generate HDR, select the files, then click tone mapping, you can play around with the settings so this is one of the originals from my cousins backyard (jealous? haha) and this is the HDR version
  15. I dont know, just a fast one I think. works good, my mates EX ran off with the TV so he's been using it, I think he said TV3 doesn't run to smooth but all the other channels are mint
  16. I had a USB adapted that allowed you to watch HD freeview on your PC, need a decent PC for it work though.
  17. well seen as its low ISO and fast shutter speed I doubt what ever you can see is noise. the water did have heaps of white particles in it, because silly me I topped the water up in the tank before i took water out, so it stirred up all the stuff on the bottom. Have to wait till Tuesday for my 50mm f/1.8 II Brent has a pretty glamorous fighter I was planning to borrow but I might actually buy it. i'll by one of those planted backing sheets so see how that looks too
  18. I gave up trying to do "spot removal" so I just got the paintbrush and went to town haha ruff i know. I think the 2nd one I didn't touch. I can't tell on my screen its pretty poor resolution, and it changes colour based on the light in the room, so I never know what they acutally look like. I cant see any noise on that pic, I guess when I can see it must be pretty bad haha By noise do you mean the white stuff in the water? or actual noise?
  19. You mean the 3rd pic? thats my state of the art photography set-up. haha Thanks Spider, Barrie and Zev I'll try borrow a pretty fish from my LFS tomorrow.
  20. I got another toy to go with it a photo tank. donated by a friendly FNZAS member (if you want to be named let me know, not sure you want a massive order from people). AND tomorrow I get a 50mm f/1.8 II lens I had it set up, with 2 layers of baking paper on top of the tank, a dim light on top of that in the corner so I could see the fish, then I had the flash about a foot above the tank, and just covered the space between the top of the tank and flash with tin foil
  21. Is this African or what? excuse my noobnees
  22. oh yeah my bad that does read pretty dodgy, had a few drinks after my run in with the 5-0 Sorry. Yeah we aren't reckless yobbos who go on shooting sprees, we even turned around because we got to a wild life park/national Forrest place
  23. haha OK we didn't have a loaded gun in the car...we weren't just driving down the rd shooting up the neighbour hood. We didn't shoot from the car, or near it. And we didn't realise we were still on a rd... well a road road, it was like the hell gravel rd, with all the forestry signs. we didn't really go to shoot anything that moved, we saw like 10phesants we could have knocked off easy, we were more looking for Goats, for another trip. the locals thought we were stealing live stock...we didn't even see any live stock, but i guess they have a problem with that up there. There was like 10m bank behind where we shot. which was next to the big gate to stop people entering the forestry, which i'm sure no one lives in. Didn't omit anything, shot it one bullet didn't die, so shot it once more. picked it up threw it in the boot, drove the end of the rd (there were houses further up the rd on the other side). And we didn't drive down this rd with intention of shooting anything this is where we were look at ALL the houses
