    the tanks is 120cm long 44cm deep and 44cm wide the water level is 22cm i have axies in there so no light but there is a window close by but has a heavy curtain is closed at all times but some light gets in but not to much 1: can plants survive useing sand? 2: do i need to use any chemicals to keep the plant alive? 3: they are not underwater just sitting in potplant in shallow water

    hmm what would let more light in glass or plastic? ive got a huge window i can take apart and use the glass

    cool thanks all will get a few meters of hose tomorrow and run pump from inside and find some wood to cover tub any other suggestions welcome thanks all

    thats an idea it isnt to far but far enough to use a extension cord probably 2-3 meters away

    i have it in the tub but ill have to bring it in later not sure if its good to have electrics outside overnight and thats when it get really cold ill look into getting a water proof ectric cord or something tomorrow

    ok i have my daphnia outside in a outdoor bath tub here in winter the water in the tub freezes over just the top depending how cold 1: how can i prevent the top freezeing over? 2: not to keen on having electrical equipment outdoors all day 3: it has never completely frozen over yet 4: cant move it anywere warmer

    i forgot about feeding them milk B&K maybe thats why they weren't produceing much i have gone out and added a cap full of milk to the bathtub will see if i can get the last lot to produce

    im guessing needs sunlight not to much as will get to hot and the lid should be off to catch any bugs ect that will feed them

    hi have two axies i need shiped to me both unsure how and also when my babies are big enough will need to ship them as well any ideas how to package and send axolotls and what courier service to use

    with the babies i have them all in a icecream container with very shallow water so they can catch the daphnia alot easyer all so no filter

    yip if it is possible to turn the flow down or redirect it at the glass is a popular option so im told they do like calm water i have mine setup so the water is dead calm and have 2 airstones to airrate the water

    hi when axies are resting there gills go lighter when they are active say feeding they get brighter due to all the oxygen join caudata.org its the best site for axolotls in the world

    thanks for that i reckon they should create bigger ones the they will be onto a really good thing so basicly you get the stand tank and all electrical equipment? and just need fish and rock

    why didnt no one tell me about these before lol okay can i ask a few questions? 1: do i need to supply coral anemonie ect? 2: do i need to supply fish? 3: do i still need to purchase a reverse osmosis machine? 4: were can i find price list?

    what is a red sea max tank? is it a marine tank all ready made up and with every thing you need to get going?
