  1. would like to make contact with any local mariners, for assistance, discussion and buying/selling/swopping frags etc etc cheers Kevin
  2. our 130 ltr ran for a year with no skimmer and it was fine, changed 10 to 20 ltr a week and fish were healthy, simple mush and zoas etc were ok too, altho after getting white spot introduced with a new fish i cant recommend a uv light enough, think it was about $60 and that and adding abag of carbon made the water like glass and took any yellow out of it,i have just added a reefoctopus hob skimmer because want to try fussier corals now and it was $250 new,
  3. hi just started our first Saltwater tank after years of tropicals and really pleased with the progress.Would love to talk to salt tank owners regarding corals etc
  4. for quick responses, great to have this board for accurate info, salifert has been dumped
  5. I have inherited a bottle of salifert coral food but have no way of knowing how old it is.It doesn't need refrigeration and has no mention of any expiry date anywhere but I'm not too sure whether its any good. Its a murky dirty greeny yellow colour and has quite a strong smell .can anyone confirm whether this is normal or if it is gone off. thanks
