So, let me get this right?? You guys do it straight from tap, with a hose even, and don't even warm the water to the same temp as the tank???
Man have I been wasting my time!
I always use a mix of cold/warm water, just to get the new water roughly around the same temperature as whats in the tank. Tell me I really don't have to to this.
You do really have to if you are changing more than about 10-15%, otherwise you risk white spot etc.

Yep, they were both up on the rocks, but attached - still, there are some biggish bristleworms up there. I might have to rename Squiggy 'The Teflon CrustacEON'

I dont know - I'm amazed that there isn't something left

Do I need another little anemone?

Heh, conch, can you throw up a picture of your empty clamshells?
Here you go - not much to see really

Yes. I don't just pay in shoes :-?

From an email my loving Wife sent me:
"Right – I need another coffee and something nasty and chocolatey to get me through to hairdressing time.
I have been looking on your geek website and wonder if Squiggy might be Squiget and be suffering from PMT"

He could, but then he'd have to kill you

It must be a Cajun thing

I'd guess your tank might have some rock or sand with a high calcium carbonate content - measure your tap water to make sure that it is 'normal' (somewhere around 7). WHat else is in your tank - do you have pics?
-
That's pretty cool

Ahhh....

Why is that?

... you do know that clams can move right?
is there any evidence of shell remains?
The shells are fine - just the occupants are missing! No ransom note, even...

My two new clams - One the night before last, and another last night (you can see it just to the left of the Cyanaria in the photo). It was there at 4.50 this morning when I fed the Chile Coral, but was gone at 7.45! Squiggy gave me a shifty look.

Yep, time to stop now.

Squiggy is the ultimate cleaner - m a f i a style. He has a shaddy past, having served long lags in solitary confinement after being implicated in the disappearance of several associates - no-one is sure who actually pulled the trigger, but Squiggy likes it that way though and no bodies have ever been found.
Squiggy does have a soft side - and suffered at the hands of 'The Big Fish' before he was relocated to my RSM, but has grown considerably since and now needs a new home. You can hand feed him - give him your hand, and he'll try to eat it! Please see the buy/sell...

So, I added one last little thing...

Squiggy needs a new home...

That's a definite possibilty - I'm not certain that the RSM lights are bright enough for clams (that are down on the bottom, anyway), and Squiggy is kind of cool.
