I am looking at buying a couple of these, They have been in the shop for a few years and i need to know a couple things, Would they live happily as the only plecs in a 300L Planted discus tank? And how long do they live for? Also wanting to know how to tell what sex they are. Thanks in advance for any help

I can get CF1200 for $130 from PetPitstop in CHCH. And i will mostlikly have either my cycled 1000lph or 800lph internal in there, too.

What Veges/Other human food can i give my fish?

If i mixed up some Grated and choped up Veges and shrimp and froze it would this be alright ot feed them? -
$17 and underpaid :lol: :lol: Cant afford a $300+ fi;ter, Can barely afford a CF1200 :lol: :lol: Also supposed to be saving for a car :-? Theres only going to be 6 Discus in there Plus a assortment of Tetras and corys. Heaps of plants. Ive got everything now except the Discus,substrate,poly for insulation and the filter.

eheim professionel II canister filter auction says: 250GPH, appx 900L/h / suit tanks up to 100gal , 360L I will buy it if it will filter my 300L 120x50x50 discus tank. EDIT: My tanks only 300L

No, especially not long term, I have seen some big ones! 30cm+, but then again they are 20 years old :lol: i think 3 would be alright until athey are about 10cm.. How long is the tank?
