Crossbreeding does happen between these species but it is rare

I just found a 5mm leopardfish fry in my tankthats a whole shelf above the leopardfish tank, no equipment has been used in any of the tanks except for the net i netted the dead betta out with today, but the net has been dry on the shelf for a week or 2 :-?

Ive had the One that died for about 6-8months, And the weirdest part was that last night at 1am he had normal length tail today when i found him dead he had hardly anything left :-?

The tank has been setup for Ages, has had fighters in it since Xmas, and the moss has been in there about a month- From HaNs

Tank is 40x25x20 cm with only a heater- no filter, just daily 3L waterchanges. The tank has a floating hatchery thing at one end with a 2-3cm male betta in it, and the tank has a large clump of Xmas moss

Importing yourself would cost ALOT more if you dont have a quarantine facility and importing licenses

You cant import the Austalian species, but the asian and south american can be imported still

I think your best bet would be finding a recently imported Asian then, as they can be kept with more fish than a jardini can and stay a bit smaller.

In NZ i know of Silver arowana(south american), Jardini(australian), Asian arowana the asians are the more colourful ones but the have a price tag of more than $1000

Well...Fighter had wholes in his fins, then died... I saw the wholes last night- just small pinholes no more than 1mm. Then 5min ago i found him dead with not ,uch tale left :-? :-? In the tank its only him and his son(1/3 the size) in a floating enclosure type thing. :-? Any ideas on what it is? i cant see any holes on the young fighter

They are lowering the morphine on drip and they are wanting to see if its the morphine thats Bringing down the pain and letting ger walk or if she is just getting better. If its the morphine, they will be doing Keyhole surgery to see whats going on.As her main pain is around her stomach. No doubt we will be getting a big bill, but it will be worth it, She is only 8 months old still.
