No sale on fish sorry, lol... but we got some nice and weird looking rainbows - i have crappy quality pictures i can put up if you like, cause i dont know what sort of rainbows they are; so are being sold as assorted rainbows, LMAO
Well whats the point in telling you the species if you 'Can't' change the nametags?
-
Are they all males?
-
Oh yeah, I also saw a couple of Chilodus punctatus today at LFS
How much were they each>?
-
Bummer
Thats the native fish im going to get if i ever manage to set up a native tank.
-
Just found out the 'gold striped' And Anostomus ternetzi is gonna cost me $60+ lol, so just back to the other 2
Abramites hypselonotus- Marbled headstander
Anostomus anostomus- Striped headstander
-
really??
So that leaves....
Upland bully
Black flounder
Shortjaw kokopu
all of the non-diadromous galaxiids
That is a LOT of different habitat types.... must be a long and involved stream?
Also leaves torrents doesnt it>?
-
And Anostomus ternetzi is another one i can get - these ones stay smaller i think
-
Abramites hypselonotus- Marbled headstander
Anostomus anostomus- Striped headstander
Would either of these 2 be alright if i move the ember tetras and guppies?
The smallest fish would then be Adult Cardinal tetras and Adult Nannostomus Eques.

Thank, but i just researched the fish more, and turns out its not suitbale for my tank.
-
Thats him! I tried to help him sign up with the forums here, but he only had a hotmail email or something like that and i think warrens supposed to be helping him out.
-
Does anyone know if 'grumpyoldman' from PFK was at the meeting?
Moved here last year..
-
So where are those photos you said you would post?
-
Theres a fish on traDE me i would like but its in dunedin, so i was wondering if anyone here will be going from Dunedin to CHCH that could pickup a fish on the way back?
TIA
-
Just wondering, Cause i see many topics here of all these Linebred discus (that IMO arent that great) and would love to see some more wildtype discus anyone got any?
-
Ive had them arrive in icecream container with a bit of water.
Another small container
Envolope in a snaplock bag
And in a plastic bag inside a poly box
-
Inmy experience snails travel very well. I have had many come in the mail and never had any problems
-
IMO your still going to have a problem with the Angel
Its more then likely to get aggressive and if it can catch smaller fish its going to eat them
You might get away with it for awhile though I would still go for Cardinals over Neons
Brad
How many angels have you kept with small fish in the past? :-?
-
I put a container of water outside and the daphnia find it and breed all by themselves. Never had to buy a culture
What? Daphnia are a fully aquatic insectthing. How would that happen?
-
Teach them to speak Spanish and/or Portuguese and nobody will notice the difference.
They would look so out of place in my setup.
What kind of algae do Otos eat-Anyone know?
-
SAE's are asian though...
-
It twists in there when empty..lol
But its soo heavy now and to twist it out will be impossible(nearly)
-
I have the same problem in my tank, but the woods to large to remove :-?
-
Also melts well
-
Would be interested if i could get some biotodoma (sp?). But not sure they are available
Too many algae Problems- Time for a fresh start?

In my 300L 'south american' setup i have had nothing but troubles with algae.
Have had greenspot, brown algae, hair algae.
Currently have Brown algae, Beard algae, and string algae.
And to be honest i have just had enough of it.
What could be causing it?
Im seriously considering putting all the fish and un-algaed plants in a large plastic container and starting over.
But what i need to know is if all the algae could be transfered in the filter(im buying new hoses and filter intake/output.
