  1. All you need to worry about is air locks in the canister and or in/out tubes. As mentioned make sure you prime it by filling the input tube (sometimes fills by itself when valve is turned on) and also filling the output spray tube with water so that theres no air in it. There is also an air bleed plug I think on those at the top - unscrew it and allow the air to escape then screw it back down. Power the filter and you should be good to go.
  2. I'm about to change my dual tube 90cm Aqua One 30w tubes. I have been told from a couple of Aquarium stores that SERA tubes are best as they provide a higher output etc. They cost approx $8 more for a Plant colour tube compared to say a Philips AquaRelle. Does anyone have any experience with the SERA brand and are they worth the extra $'s?
