Need to paint, anything I need to consider?

I'd rather not move the tanks out completely. Is covering them good enough or are the fumes bad for them?

We totally redecorated our lounge and re-carpeted with the tank in situ and had no problems whatsoever. Make sure the area is well ventilated. We used water based paint.

Ventilation won't be a problem and will definitely be using water based paint.

We had our lounge painted and left the tank in the lounge, I just put towels over the bits of the tank where the air gets in, to try and filter out any nastys, didn't have any fish losses.

In my house me doing it is already the result of someone else getting another person to do it DOH!!

Till you sobered up and saw the disaster you'd created and realised you had to start over again.

I'll just have to settle for some loud music instead. I'll save the alcohol till after the job is done!!

They painted my apartment a couple of years ago, can't say for sure what kind of paint was used, all I know is they used the wrong kind :evil: Anway, all I did was cover my tanks with blankets and had no problems.

Wrong kind of paint!!! UGH!!! I bet you weren't a very happy camper!

I'll have to wait till this heat passes.. it's been about 30-35 here for the past several days! Not a good time to be wrapping my tank up in blankets! (paint would probably dry before it made it to the walls too!)
