2fishy
Does anybody have these? If so what are they like?
herefishiefishie
Had them once upon a time. At the top end of agro for mbunas. Easy to breed. Always active. Violently intolerant of males that look similar. Frenchy

herefishiefishie
How long have you had them for, how big r the youngens, what size tank, set up, tank mates....? If they are new then its just a case of getting used to their surroundings. Frenchy
2fishy
at the mo they are in the tank at work (84L) they are 4cm long, i will be buying them for my 220L tank wen i can afford to get them and all the other fish i want at the same time. they seem to be settling down a bit now so must be getting used to the tank slowly. if i put them with johannii do u think they will crossbreed? Devon
Ive found that all the cichldis ive had , have taken awhile to settle down and be able to move around their tank without any fear.
herefishiefishie
if i put them with johannii do u think they will crossbreed? It is possible. I'd say there would be be some fighting between males for sure. My guess would be one male from either group would dominate the tank. 2fishy
id say it would be the johannii male as hes bigger??? is it worth giving it a go?
ryanjury
Why not give it a go They are only small anyway aren't they? If they breed and you dont see it then grow the babies out until you can confirm they are what they are supposed to be..
