mat692
Have a couple that have started to play ie looks like theyre kissing non stop is this a mating ritual, also my angels have started attacking each other-OK not sure if its fighting or mating- but theyre from the same offspring so if theyre mating will have to move one -not to keen on direct inbreeding????????????????? :-? SpidersWeb
With the angels they will be being territorial, normally this stops once they've defined an order of dominance, if it keeps happening you will want to move one. If breeding is likely to occur you will see two angels pair up against the rest, and never seperate. Inbreeding is not recommend, but nothing to exactly worry about, they will just be identical to the parents but any possible defects may be (and I mean may) be amplified, e.g. recessive gene + recessive gene = oh noes! assuming the gene you are talking about is a big defect, and that doesn't matter because if its bad they'll just die anywho, and I beleive inbreeding is how many breeders line-breed (not saying its good, just yano, I bet it happens). ramble over, have fun! Sorry don't know anything about barbs. Tigers are so cute though, I should get some.
Caryl
If you mean the barbs, they are fighting for domination. You need a group of 6 or more to keep this under control. If it is the angels, it could be either. Doesn't matter if they are siblings.
