lorrainel
Just got a pair? of neon dwarfs bout 2 wks ago, have settled in nicely into the tank but now the male is chasing the female around and generally bullyin her now and again. the LFS person told me to watch out for this - so far the male hasn't caused any damage to her but i'm worried! should i try separating them or maybe swapping either the male or the female? i was hoping they would just live happily together! land_lubber
Have you got any pics of them? I've never heard of a neon dwarf gourami.
Zev
My male has been nicknamed 'Mr Bully' by my daughter because he chases the female around if she shows herself, along with any other fish who catch his eye. Do you have plenty of places for her to hide? I have a heavily planted tank, so my lady has plenty of hidey holes. He constantly makes bubble nests, and they frequently breed, but he still chases her every opportunity he gets. I have read somewhere that they are supposed to swim together like a happy couple - ha! Not my pair.
