Fishkeepa
I recently brought one of these remarkable fish The guy at the LFS said they're easy to keep so i brought it. He is in a community tank and I have been feeding bloodworms once a week at night (just before the lights go out) Is this sufficient? The plan was that he picks up the bloodworms that sink to the bottom and feed on the left over flake from the others. I have tried peas and apple but he doesn't seem to like them. Are there any other foods i should try. Thanks
Aqua
I had a group of 4 of these guys, they do better in groups I would say that what you're doing is probably enough - I used to drop a sinking tablet for bottom feeders once a week just before lights out to feed my ones
sharn
i have never made specific efforts to feed the khulis apart from making sure that i get the food around most of the tank (so the other fish have a hard time gobbling the lot and it can fall into the hard to reach places for the K's), i do feed about 5 mins before lights out at night though so they still get their fair share and thats when i feed the BN. ive had mine for about 2 years now and they dont look thin so theyre finding the goodies
Fishkeepa
i'm thinking of getting some cories would these clean up the khuli's food before it can get to it? Should i just play it safe and get a BN or Two :bounce:
Keri Anne
My big male Bristlenose will even come up to the top of the tank and muscle in on a cube of Tubifex worm – so much for being a vegetarian
x matt x
I have about 8 half-banded loaches (same as khuli loach) in a community tank. They just eat whatever they can find, Great fish for clean up the liftovers that get stuck in between rocks & gravel.

That loach is pretty...but I could never have anything at all that remotely resembles a sn...snn...snnnake *shivers*. When I go to Walmart they have some kind of loach, but I just rush right by the tank *ewwwwwwww*
