(at the moment i have seperated them in different tanks but he cant stay there as theres not enought room for him)
Fishman
Add more fish, this will distract them from fighting and will spread aggression to others.
herefishiefishie
both a blue colour. That is probably your problem. Cichlids usually fight amongst there own species, similar shape or colour{in this case} Otherwise its usually just a male defending a spawning site, then all other fish{except females} are kept away from an area. How bad is the fighting, if it is one always chasing the other, then the one getting chased will stress out, die, disease.... if they keep locking lips or similar one will get a really bad injury... Usually one will step down, showing off is enough to show ones dominace. {Fighting is bad, so is usually avoided} But if they continue, you may have to take one back. ryanjury
Overcrowding is the plan with africans or as Daniel mentioned adding fish of different shapes/colours..

ryanjury
Yeah if they're jaw locking then it means they are fighting for dominance, sorry didn't pick up on that.. I guess the best thing to do is to make sure their are plenty of targets (even though they will likely just go at each other) and also lots of space and rocks for them to establish a terriotory each or if they wont sort themselves out (they may hurt each other or just scrap all day) keep them in seperate tanks or give one the flick..
