Now i've some of these pest in my system and i'm not too sure what are these and how to get rid of them. Maybe i can get some advice here. cookie extreme Posted May 15, 2006 Report Share Posted May 15, 2006 its a worm and thats the way it feeds, sending out slimy long strands which capture all sorts of stuff. the worm then retracts it and voila here is lunch. keep them they are not a pest and add bio-diversity to your tank. some are pretty hard to keep alive over long term. wasp Posted May 15, 2006 Report Share Posted May 15, 2006 What Cookie said, they are harmless and in nearly all tanks. They can look a bit messy but is just another interesting life form.
