TM
Chemicals Has any one used the poolmaster range of chemicals to dose to there aquarium? Mainly the calcium chloride and sodium bicarb. I want to make up "randys two part system". Any thoughts, they seem to be better than the dows stuff they use in the states. http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/ ... 4/chem.htm

TM
Ok i'm sold where do i get mine Same I'd be interested in some too. I might make some calls on monday and see who can supply it down here. Layton I have looked into it down here (i may have been calling the wrong places) and it was really dear hundreds for Analytical grade stuff (99.99% pure). Thats why i was looking into the stuff for pools. Posted: 5-10 bucks a kilo! Thats cheaper than the stuff from the pool place. Where do you get this stuff from. Can you get a spec sheet for it. lduncan
Analytical grade is overkill. Lab grade is good enough. Sometimes technical grade is good enough depending on the impurities in it. I'll give some places down here a try on monday, plus some of the auckland places too. Cracker where do you get yours from? APS? cracker
Layton...No not aps. Call MEDCHEM in mT Albert Auckland. They deal solely in medincinal grade chemicals from Checzoslovakia, (I hope I spelt that right)!!!. The grade is superb, But Im not sure if they have credit card option. You may have to send a check or direct credit them first. If you call 815 2970 and ask for Paul Edwards and tell him you were recommended by me, (Craig) for Calcium and MG for your aquarium use. They sell only by the 25KG bag at around 5 bucks a KILO. If they dont want to help you, let me know, I will purchase it and organise courier. I will charge for my service for this as I dont have enough time to fart at the moment! The spec sheets are available from them and they are around 108% pure. (Not sure how that works). This stuff is the most premium grade you will get in australasia. A few aucklanders are now bying direct too...Fay as far as I know plus a couple of others. cookie extreme
They deal solely in medincinal grade chemicals from Checzoslovakia if it comes from czechoslovakia it must be quite old as that country doesn't exist anymore for quite a while now.
