dhindry
What would cause a skimmer to produce too much foam? Nothing in the tank has changed, nothing has been added. All levels are within spec and ph is around 8.1. It used to take about three - four days to fill the cup but now it takes about 2 minutes Thanks
wasp
Happens to most of us from time to time. Just adjust the skimmer right down, and wait this out, will pass after a few hours or days.
suphew
I find if I manually add fresh water top up mine does this? I also added sand to my tank the otherday, it was very clean there was no dust or anything but my skimmer went nuts as soon as the sane went in. skuzza
Sounds like water level is set to high.Lots of foam means it is working well .just drop the level down bit by bit until it does not flood the cup within 24hours and then see if it settles down from there. If not drop it some more till it produces the goo we all love.(yeah right)
