raeh1
Get flat worm exit and kill them all. They are just trouble. Read the instructions carefully and have plenty of water for a water change. Siphon them off the rocks before treatment. Left along they will grow to plague proportions. And can cause their own mass die off. (these animals are extremely toxic when dieing) So do it as soon as possible. (flat worm exit is only $35.00) This also saves them from spreading to other peoples tanks when you trade frags etc.. puttputt
an overrated problem I reckon, they come and go in my tank, never cause any problems, never die off on mass, that only happens when you nuke em all, then you've got toxins to deal with. wasp
They are photosynthetic so just sit there sunbathing all day. Breed faster the higher the nutrients, but don't need much. 6 line wrasse will eat them I've seen mine do it. However the wrasse will only eat a few before tireing of them so will only eradicate if there is a small population. One suggestion would be use Flatworm Exit, 2 treatments a week or so apart, then use a 6 line to clean up any survivors there may be. The big disadvantage flatworms have is they have to expose themselves to light during the day to allow photosynthesis, and this makes them vulnerable to the wrasse, in my tank there was just a few & he got them all.
