albino kribs

Hi smcoleman,

Are these Kribs are in a Comm Tank, if they are, they are probably feeling threatened by the other fishys that are around, which will not be helping the situation.

I think you have 2 options:

Leave Mum and Dad alone, sometimes it takes a few spawnings for Mum and Dad to learn what they should and shouldn't be doing.

I had this same problem with my Angels when they spawned, I just let them be and now I have no problems at all, after about the 4th Spawning they worked it all out by themselves.

OR

As soon as the eggs have been laid you could either remove Mum and Dad, and place them into another tank or remove the eggs and place these into another tank.

Good Luck

Lynda

Maybe the eggs are infertile due to a problem with one of the pair.

Maybe the water parameters are not up to speck and they are not in the mood to raise fry. I have cyano in one of my tanks and the pair which have succesffully done it several times before are also eating their spawn now.

If your water is sweet then it might be time to replace one of the pair if they keep it up. If they have laid I doubt whether they are feeling overly threatened by their tankmates.
