suphew
Damn that sucks, with any luck they might join this site and you might be able to ID your rock and nail them!

sharn
what dorks steal coral rock!! unless of course they own fish, and i suspect most good fish owners wouldnt steal :-? hope you find it and catch em, maybe you could grind that rock into their eyes
Tanksman
It would have to be someone you know who keeps or aspires to keep fish. They must have known it was there.
Kim&Dan
...coral rock? i had mines soaking in some water in a bucket outside and someone STOLE it last night!!! Unbelievable! As Tanksman said - I would think it's likely to have been someone who KNEW they were there and WHAT they were!
Caper
Golly...I sure hope you get who did it!  my LPS Okay...I didn't know what LFS was till I was told...but, now, what is LPS??? :-?
Faran
I'm a bit curious what coral rock is. I'm imagining crushed coral (though I thought that made sand) and probably white? Caper - LPS is Local Pet Shop. Just a minor variation on the regular LFS acronym.
Caper
Thanks BlueandKim....
suphew
Yeah B&K I was wondering that too, could look cool in a fresh water tank but would screw with the hardness and PH, might be good in a Rift Cichlid tank?
deshanp
i'm using it in setting up a malawi tank. along with the coral sand it looks great. the PH is high because of this combo so wouldn't suit a 'normal' tropical setup. Tanksman
Did it turn back up deshanp? It does look good but at $12kg its pretty pricey especially if for a big tank. I am contemplating whether it will go in my Tang tank. probably not - There are far cheaper alternatives and I'd sooner spend the dosh on livestock. Tanksman
I hope not - wouldn't want the coral reefs plundered for gardening reasons as well.
