suphew
Now that I have a bit more swimming space I'm keen to get a small school of fish, I currently have 3 Pajama Cardinals they school a little but stay close to their favourate rock pile and dive for cover. If I got a few more are they more likely to school properly, and be a bit bolder? I was thinking maybe 10 or so?
Alan
Just arrived back from a fishy trip in the BoP with Aquanut. One of our stops was a breeder of Bangai, and he informed me that they are a pairsome fish, not a schooling fish. Besides breeding them he also breeds Kuda seahorses for export, they go to the USA, Canadian and GB markets. Sorry, too dear for NZ customers. Also on his target fish are Pecula clowns, a lot of the ones you see in your LFS, could have come from his farm too. Alan
reef
You will find that pajamas tend to school and are less agressive than baggaii.

Alan
Layton, is that in an aquarium set up? Or is that in the wild?? His babies looked like that, about the size of a 10c piece. Maybe he was refering to them being in a smaller breeding setup environment. Alan
lduncan
Yeah I know what you mean. Just wanted an excuse to post that pic. It's in the wild, the Lembeh Strait I think. They have been introduced their by collectors from their natural home of Bangaii Island. Layton
