lduncan
I don't notice this particular one growing much. I've got other corals which I notice grow, so they must be going faster than this one does. I was surprised when I actually looked at the pics of this one. 2 new radial coralites in 10 days. (And the tank is filthy at the moment too!) It's no wonder my tank consumes so much alk and calcium! Layton
cracker
Same, I consume 5 tablespoons of Alk per week! Thats a lot of sleletal structure even wothout the Calcium.

wasp
Good stuff Layton! ( See I knew you could take a photo when the time came ) Pretty coral I've not seen one of those before. Is that a particularly fast grower or are they all doing as well?
reef
The camera takes good photos, is it better than your old camera.
lduncan
Is that a particularly fast grower or are they all doing as well? Nope, like I said. I never notice this one growing. There are other acros in the tank which I do notice growing, so they must be growing faster than this one. Probably a medium to slow grower. Yip, this camera is a LOT better than the old one. I'm still crap at taking photo's, but it's easier to take better photos with this one. Layton
chimera
something i've noticed since taking photos is that you dont actually realise how much your corals have grown unless you took the photo's in the first place - something to compare against. with some of my acro's i was a bit concerned at slow growth, but then looking back at photos 3 months ago i was amazed at the difference. i do need a decent camera too, something that will pull out the colours as i see them, the sony dsc-p100 i have is ok, but the colours are a little washed out - does everyone else find the same thing with their cameras or do the colours closely resemble what you see??? colouration in my acros is still taking its time (lack of lighting, still havent setup T5's yet), although getting better by the day. interesting though that its considerably easier to see the varying colours of acros from top down than from the front. why would this be? Nope, colours are never the same. This coral is more purple and greenish than the weird base colour and yellow it is in the photo. interesting though that its considerably easier to see the varying colours of acros from top down than from the front. why would this be? Cause that's where the light comes from. ;-) Layton
