LYNDYLOO
Surely, it cant have jumped that far, don't you have a lid on Tank?if it has jumped out, you will no doubt be able to find it's poor dehydrated little body, or has it died and the other fishies have made a meal of out of it. Lynda It was in a tank with its girlfriend and fry so cant have got eaten with in 12hours. The tank has a lid but it was only covering half the top. I cant find it no where, the dogs or cat may have got it.
LYNDYLOO
Oh Matt, thats terrible, but must admit I have had this happen before, gone to feed my fishies and found one all dried up in the floor. So you have Angel bubbas to then, I also have some at the moment, mine are about 1 1/2 weeks old, things are going really well with them at the moment, must have round a couple of hundred, so hoping to get a few out of this lot. Good Luck with your fry. Sorry for your loss. Lynda
Caper
Could it be hiding? I had 15 neons...one died...but the last number of weeks was only finding 13 so figured that another died and was eaten before I noticed...well, the other night, counting 14...where the other one was is still a mystery  :-? me love fishy
Um your angel could have eaten the neon?! sometimes I misplace fish and they are hiding, but its been a couple of days, I would seriously check around the tank and see if it jumped out. sharn
spot on me love fishy! angels are well known for eating neons! i myself had a neon eater (gave it away). its not every angel but you do get the odd one that develops a taste for those little fish. i used to find neons with just their heads bitten off or their stomachs ripped out (sorry about the graphicness lol). i dont think the angel would be hiding, youd spot it somewhere, check all the decorations it could fit into and around the back and sides of the tank (around the bottom). if it was still lying around outside the tank you'd smell it alright! so my guess was that your cat or dog had a tasty little snack
me love fishy
the only other thing I can think of is if you have decorations that it could hide in, check in there to see if it has died in there, sometimes I have had a fish die and not been able to find it until I move things round, why they can't just die and lie in an obvious place is beyond me, would make things easier.
