HelifaxNZ
Has anyone any experience in these corals. They look really nice and saw one at the fish shop.
cookie extreme
mine seems to be easier to keep compared to goniopora. its always open during the day, likes good flow (mine gets mostly laminar flow which may not be ideal but it doesn't seem to mind) and medium light (under 150 M/H partly sheltered by a coral pinnacle). HelifaxNZ
Worth getting or not? As I have heard it is hard to keep.
wasp
Would look awesome in your tank, but they are touch and go, if you get one it may or may not make it long term so be prepared for that. The mechanism of keeping them alive is not yet fully understood, but some people have had them for years.
reef
You need to dose iron to keep them alive, also feeding coral food will help. I still have my goniopra after 2 years.
Pies
I have a Alovapora. Its struggling. Its about 9 months old but it has only receded and not grown at all. Lots of people have success with them, it doesn't look like I will be one though. Pie
HelifaxNZ
It's a very nice coral, but just reading about it, I don't think I will get this one. I'd say more for the experts!
cookie extreme
just make sure its an alvepora (12 little leaves per stalk). when i got mine i lost about half to recession within the first 3 months. then it stopped and its growing well now.
