Rory
Well its a small community but here goes. I have a silver dollar and moonlightt guramie both about 6 inches long. they have lived together for sometime now. Lately i have noticed the alge problem is getting a little out of hand so i decided to get a pleco so suck some of it up (and he loves it) but the two fish seem to be bullying it! Well the silver gollar seems to want to nip him while the guramie just wants to touch him and sometimes kiss him. He's alot smaller than them so i'm naturally a little worried about his life. I've also noticed the silver dollar chasing the guramie around (he even has a few nips out of his tail!) What shall i do?
Caryl
Try rearranging the decor of the whole tank. The originals consider it their territory and are protecting it from the newcomer. If you move things around they will have to re-establish territory and can all do it together.
