mickey-tropical-fish-mad
Hi out of interist should you add corals and anemones to a fish tank before adding fish?
ghostface
may pay to wait until the tank is cycled and relatively stable before adding corals. anemones are even more sensitive to changes in water conditions. need to make sure you have enough lighting as well. i would go for a fish or two first, something quite hardy that eats algae would be good. i have a yellow eye cole tang that eats alot of algae. an advantage of having a herbivorous fish is that its food will foul the water less than meat-based foods, which will be important initially while your tank stabilises. lduncan
Soft corals are probably a better first inhabitants for a new tank than fish. They are not as hefty load on the establishing bacterial processes and can help "cycle" the tank, and are relatively hardy, relative to other animals.
