mickey-tropical-fish-mad
I would get a pleco they are really good at cleaning up the tank dont get an algue eater as they dont clean the tank and become very aggressive so ive heard. I think you can also get an algue conditioner im not sure though
livebearer_breeder
Don't get a pleco, there utterly useless compared to other fish that can be purchased for algae clean ups. Algae eaters are good, Bristlenoses like the green algae as long as its not that thick slimy stuff you can pull off in sheets. Dwarf Gourmies also love Algae. Caryl
All depends on what type of algae too. Fish are fussy
mrshanepaul
dont get an algue eater as they dont clean the tank and become very aggressive so ive heard. There are a number of algae eaters, one of which is commonly sold and is as described above. Some people will sell them as the good one, but they are not. Check: http://www.thekrib.com/Fish/Algae-Eaters/ The two commonly sold here are the Siamese Algae Eater (the good one) and the Chinese Algae Eater. (the bad one) I have two SAE and they are awesome. They have a neat way of swimming about also. I was told they are the only fish that eat black beard algae.

nickyboi
I used to freak, however let the algae go mad over the rocks! not only does it look natural (like what you would see on rocks in a freshwater lake) the fish just love it and everybody comments on how great it looks to see the cichlids, biting bits off the rocks and eating it. It looks fantastic, let it grow wild mate, just clean the glass every few days! 8)

Righto, I am off to go buy me another culture from the local fish store!! (Where I got my BBA from...)
