Brianemone
theres a guy in morrinsville that gets his water form the mount but im not sure where he gets it. you might want to try the boat ramp on the harbour side. nice and quite

Alan
Living Waters at Palmers, and Animal Antics after you go across the bridge to the Mount. Just past a Shell SS on the right heading east and look for a big tyre place, it's down beside that. The sign Animal Antics is hard to see unless you are really looking for it. gregb
Just use tap water with a bit of table salt & see what happens.
suphew
I dont know anything about the water at the mount, but if I had a choice of harbour or open sea water I would pick the open sea EVERY time. There must be a boat ramp on the open sea side.
Reubs
When your heading towards the Mount, go to the Pilot Bay side and walk around the side of the Mount following the road until you come to a jeti, this is usually a good place to get water from. It helps if it is high tide otherwise the water is quite a bit lower than the jeti (like a meter lower).
slappers
IMO Animal Antics was the most horrid shop i have ever seen, just one off those shops when you go into it you get a feeling of YUK and another thing 97$ for a weee small baby clown, didn't get any NSW in the end my buckets got stolen buy the misses and filled up will Salmon heads and mussels
