peety
The outdoor pond (with those fish) is badly silted. I hired an industrial sump pump but that didn't help much ( it dragged tons of water but left piles of mud behind). Does anyone have any idea how to get years mud out of the pond? peety
Joze
In the process of designing ours, and will set it up to be able to be pumped out by pool pump. Many years ago I used to use an old fine net curtain, water goes through sludge stays in the net.
brocky05
Hi Peety I agree with joze an old curtain can do the job but any type of net designed for birds/butterflies etc will do the job but it takes a while and you need to take the fish out obviously (I hate it when you dump a pile of silt and leaves and see a fish in it). Consequently the fishpond eventually became a sandpit but my son enjoys his new play area.
