TM
What is the temp and time (in oven) for recharging the beads in the air dryers?? Are they all meant to go blue or are they just a few thru the lot as to act as indcators??
lduncan
I think they just scatter a few indicator beads in. Looks fine to me. Layton

cracker
Be careful with ozone. Very powerful antibacterial cleanser. Dosed wrong and all your inhabitants will be fried. It is as powerful as chlorine. Good luck and hope it does the job you're after. Can I ask the reason you are using it?
TM
cause i can makes the water look nice
lduncan
Can I ask the reason you are using it? There is a good reason for ozone/UV... keeps waste in a more removable (reactive) form.
cracker
It a shame youre in Canterbury...I'd like to see this "nice looking" water!
Pies
I've seen tanks using ozone. There is little doubt the water is clean (no yellow) and sparkling. Infact it looks the say as water thats run through carbon. From what i've read Ozone is a little bit of an unknown, seems to come in and out of vogue every few years. GT on UR uses it, and his tank was stunning. No experance with it myself, not considering using it either. Havn't heard about it doing any damage to the tank other than killing any life (incl bacterria) in the water. Pie
cracker
I use Ozone on my spa pool to reduce the amount of Chlorine I add.........That says enough for me!!!
Brianemone
people put salt in their pools as well :-? i doubt the fact that ozone has various applications limits its usefullness in aquaria, in fact alott of the things we use are not developed for aquarium use but have eventually found there way to our tank
