monaro1 Posted September 21, 2005 Report Share Posted September 21, 2005 dose anyone know where to get Suction caps to pick up glass tanks. where i could borrow some or rent them, a coupel of times, i need to move a few large tanks over a few weeks(3 moves) thay need to be lowered into there stands(no room for fingers) thanks for any help. You "could" use some "sink unblockers".. (Sink Plungers).. that are available at any hardware store or the Warehouse, and would be a fraction of the cost of the commercial type ones. They would certainly have the suction and grip.. but you might have to design a handle of sorts for them.. possibly of rope or something if it would fit. There are a few UK websites that had things listed there but when I limited the search to NZ websites there wasn't much. One site I found mentioned somewhere was 'rubbermark.co.nz'.
