reef
That is a good way to kill sales for petplanet.
chimera
you quoted it as your own and its sure going to be cost effective importing them from australia... not.
madcookie
Yeah, possibly not the best place to put that link in Chimera, however at the end of the day it "shouldnt" affect potential sales for petplanet. It's really the same with any potential purchase from overseas....You get what you pay for, and this normally doesnt include a warrantly, after sales support, consumers guarantees, etc etc etc. Thats why many people prefer to buy right here in NZ - longer term the 'savings' from purchasing on the internet from overseas turn into a 'hidden cost'. Am sure this has been debated/discussd many mnay mnay times, even within these forums?
madcookie
Damn, why cant I remember to spell check before hitting the 'submit' button? Sorry for the ""shokcing splleing"" everyone.

petplanet
Thanks for the info (and wesite). I will email the supplier and confirm details about cartridge size and quality. The unit looks good for what it is worth. Trust me, you guys will be the first to know when we get them. After reading the website info I will try and get the right plumbing fittings in. As far as the slow/low flow, drinking systems come with a 3-4 gallon pressuized storage tank. I will bring some of these in and the counter taps. The company I am going to use only do RO/DI units (up to seven stage) and all the associated bits.
petplanet
Ok, their RO/DI units take standard size cartridges (all good) and some gear has NSF certification. I just need an idea of how many people would want the drinking system and how many would want just the RO/DI unit?
petplanet
Just had a sample 4 stage unit and a 5 stage unit with storage container arrive. Will have them installed and see how they go. If they work out we will order early in the new year.
